The Reading Room collection is available to persons 14 and over.

• The Reading Room has an extensive and varied book collection,  available for on-site reading only.
• Librarians of the Main Reading Room are responsible for facilitating interlibrary loans.
• The library is equipped with computer stations providing free Internet access, and MS office package for its users.

Terms and conditions:

Use of the Main Reading Room does not require library registration. It is necessary however to fill out an order slip that is based on electronic or traditional catalogue.

Regulations

Collections:

• scientific and general science literature from different fields of knowledge,
• extensive regional collections, 
• Polish and foreign literature,
• special collections (including: old prints, manuscripts, cartography, graphics),
• archival yearbooks of magazines
• information publications (also in other languages).

Services:

• offering collections for on-site use,
• interlibrary loans,
• providing information,
• providing access to the Internet and MS office package. 

Cultural and educational activities of the library:

• new publications exhibitions.
