MANAGAMENT OF LIBRARY ACCOUNT ONLINE

Readers who have the library card, issued by public libraries of Rzeszow, have the opportunity to administer their own library accounts.

When you open the appropriate online library catalogue, available at  www.wimbp.rzeszow.pl/katalogi-on-line/ - a „log on” tab will appear. The user logs onto the account by providing the number of the library card and password.
Following correct login, user has the ability to verify the titles of borrowed books, their expected return dates, as well as make reservations, or order books from the internet catalogue. Through online library account administration users are also able to extend the return dates of borrowed books .

ORDERING and RESERVATION of BOOKS ONLINE

Fully computerized branches of WiMBP in Rzeszow, allow for ordering and reservation of books online.

Online book ordering is available to readers of the above mentioned branches through home computers, and at the libraries. Online book reservations are available exclusively to readers of the Main Library.
- Book reservations [ applies to currently available books ] – this service allows for holding of a book at the library, on reader's request. Reserved books will be held for 3 days. Remote reservation of books feature is only available at the Main Library.
- Ordering of books [applies to books currently on loan] – this service allows the reader to "sign up" to a virtual list of borrowers waiting for the book's return .

Online book ordering and book reservation requires login to the library account using the library card number and password.
 

EXTENDING RETURN DATES OF BORROWED BOOKS

Extending  return dates of borrowed books online  – service allows for postponing of book return date. User login is required for this function to be available. User may renew only the books that are not overdue. Renewing function is blocked for overdue books.

- Have overdue books, reminding them of the need to return the borrowed items.
- Have ordered a book that was unavailable at the time. When the book is returned, the system sends an e-mail to the first person on the waiting list, informing them about the book's availability.
- Have not picked up previously reserved book /held/ from the Main Library.

ACCESS TO DIGITAL COLLECTIONS

Provincial and City Public Library in Rzeszow is digitizing its own collections: books, periodicals, manuscripts, postcards, photographs, leaflets and others.
Thanks to the  acquisition of external funds, the Library has commissioned scanning of regional periodicals from the book collections of Stefanyk Scientific Library of Lviv.
All digital resources are presented at the web portal of Digital Library of Podkarpacie.
